Oak Cliff Pediatrics is dedicated to serving the community we call home. Our goal is to give our patients an enjoyable office experience every time and to consistently and compassionately deliver quality pediatric care. Oak Cliff Pediatrics is cultivating a “small-town doctor” feel in the big city.

Meet

Dr. Sue Bacsik

Dr. Bacsik has been caring for children since 2004. Her undergraduate training was completed at Texas Tech University in 1998 and she later attended medical school at The University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth. Her pediatric training was completed at Children’s Medical Center of Dallas in 2007.

After her training, she was an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics, Division of Neonatology, Parkland Newborn Nursery for 4 years.
In 2010 Dr. Bacsik joined Pediatrics at Campbell Center and in 2018 Dr Bacsik’s lifelong dream came true when she started Oak Cliff Pediatrics, furthering her investment in her community and serving Oak Cliff families. She has admitting privileges at Baylor Hospital of Dallas, Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas and Children’s Medical Center.

Outside of the office, Dr. Bacsik has a busy schedule as the CEO of her household. She is active in her church, Rosemont Elementary School and RECPTA.

At home, Dr. Bacsik loves to spend time with her husband, Mike, and 3 very active children. You will find her most Saturdays cheering on her kids from the sidelines and bleachers. She also enjoys running and gardening. Her favorite place to be is watching the sunrise on her parent’s front porch in Glen Rose or reading a book on her front porch in Oak Cliff.

Camille VanHoof

Board Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner

Camille has been a Registered Nurse since 2012 with a background in Neonatal Intensive Care, Pediatric Intensive Care, Pediatric emergency medicine, and general pediatrics. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Texas Christian University and her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas at Arlington.

Camille is newly married to her husband Jeremy. Together they enjoy biking the Dallas trails and exploring Dallas' best eats with their puppy, Oscar. Camille and Jeremy live in East Dallas where they attend Shoreline City Church. She looks forward to expanding her practice and caring for all the kiddos of Oak Cliff.

Marcial Oquendo, MD

Board Certified Pediatrician

Marcial, born and raised in Venezuela, completed medical school at Universidad del Zulia in his hometown of Maracaibo. Came to the US and worked at Dallas Dermatology Research and Treatment Center for 3 years, before completing Pediatric Residency at Driscoll Children's Hospital in Corpus Christi, Tx. After residency, has worked as a pediatrician serving Dallas communities since 2016 . Is a very active part of organized medicine, both at the national and state level through the AMA and AAP and has held several executive committee positions. He is married to his high-school sweetheart, has two young daughters and a Scotty dog named Lily. His particular areas of interest are in Dermatology, Medical technology, Legislation and Research.

Connie Malone

Office Manager and Front Desk

Connie’s bio-Connie Malone has worked in medical office management for over 40 years. She first worked for Pediatrician, Dr. Peter Schneider, in the Oak Cliff area of Dallas, when she was a young mother. Her next office position was for Dr. Larry Anspiger, General Surgeon, also in Oak Cliff. Since 2001 she has been office manager for Dr. Richard Wallner, Obstetrics and Gynecology. She left each of these practices as the physicians retired.

Connie is married to Wayne Malone. She has 3 adult children and six grandchildren. She is a member of the Oaks Baptist church in Grand Prairie where she serves as a kindergarten teacher for children’s church and on the hospitality committee. She loves cooking for family and friends and she loves to read.

We offer Physician Telephone Services for existing patients. There will be a charge to your insurance company for a telephone physician consultation. The physician will let you know if your child needs to come in to the office or if the problem can be handled over the phone. Services include questions about sleep training, behavior problems, allergies or feeding questions.

The codes below refer to the charges you will see regarding the phone conversations with your actual doctor. They are billed in time increments from five minutes to a half an hour.

  • 99441 phone call 5 to 10 minutes of medical discussion
  • 99442 phone call 11 to 20 minutes of medical discussion
  • 99443 phone call 21 to 30 minutes of medical discussion

Non-Physician Healthcare Provider Telephone Services (Nurse line)

If you have a consultation with a nurse, nurse practitioner, or physician assistant, these are categorized under the label ‘physician extenders.’ It is likely that your bill will be less for these phone conversations than if you were to speak directly to your doctor.

Oakcliff Pediatrics is now offering services to your home.

Chelsea Harrott, FNP will be available day or night for sick visits, lacerations, and urgent care needs.

Call 469-300-5437 to request an appointment and if it is after hours call 469-300-5437, press option 2 and Dr. Bacsik will notify Chelsea.

There will be a convenience charge of $30 (office hours 9am-5pm) and $50 (after hours/weekends) for the visit. We will bill the visit through your insurance.

If you need assistance when our office is closed you have the following options:

  1. If you are experiencing an emergency, please dial 911.
  2. For all non-urgent issues please call our office at 469-300-5437, press option 1 to be connected to the nurse’s line.
  3. For all urgent issues please call our office at 469-300-5437, press option 2 to reach Dr Bacsik and leave a brief message. Include your child’s name, date of birth and your phone number. You will see a $25 tele-medicine charged to your insurance or a  $25 physician telephone service will be charged to your account. (Insurance codes 99441-99443)
